The Man and his hats.
At times, when you can’t make a decision,
just go with everything.
You can feel the music while only
seeing the trumpet.
What a musician does.
Someone said, “Parents need to raise their children
so when they become adults, they don’t need you anymore.”
An unintended consequence I found is “I still need them“.
This Sunday is Father’s Day.
Happy Father’s day to all the Dads.
Absolute joy appears on the face of a student during her college graduation.
(FYI – that student is my daughter.)
Years ago, my son is underwater in the not-so-deep end of the pool.
We were on vacation in Wildwood, NJ. So much fun.
A photograph of a grandmother and grandson. My Mom and my son.
Photograph made many years ago and still one of my absolute favorites.
My son is no longer a little boy but a successful young man.
And my Mom passed away in 2004. She was the best.
Chuck Berry passed away yesterday. He was 90. He was a favorite of mine, have several albums and saw him in concert at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. (Photograph above from a concert at the Capitol.) My favorite memory goes back to when I discovered his music. I was in Woolworth’s in Paterson, NJ with my best friend, a musician. We were thumbing through the record albums (I’m talking vinyl) and I found my first Chuck Berry one. Excited, I turned to my buddy and asked, “Who’s the black guy?” He couldn’t stop laughing. In the 1970’s I made Super 8mm movies with my friends. I used Chuck Berry’s music as the soundtrack to them. I loved his music. Still do. Still have that album where I discovered he was a black guy.
A comic book character on the streets in London!
While walking the streets in London, I stumbled upon this unexpected visual –
an “OMG!” word balloon in a retail window directly over the head of a man making a phone call.
What are the odds?!
Alone on the Beach. King at the Seashore.
(No, I did not photoshop anybody out. He was all alone.)
